Connect Apple Watch to MacBook

Sorry to be a party pooper but I can start, stop and skip musing playing on my Mac using my Watch Remote app (Not the Now Playing app)

Go to add a device on the watch remote app then click on your Watch entry on sidebar of the Music app on Mac and enter the 4 digit number shown on the watch in the space in Mac music app.

Learned something new! It's probably been almost a decade since I used my Mac for listening to music. I should stay within my limitations.

Except for using the Watch to unlock a Mac, there's no way to connect them.

Perhaps if you explained in more detail what you're trying to do. Are you trying to use the watch as a remotes to control Music on your Mac? If so, as caedmon65 noted, you can't do that. Or, are you trying to do something else?

Are you asking if the now playing feature from Apple Watch lets you control music playing on your MacBook Pro? Apple doesn’t currently have a feature like this on Mac.

I have a rag-bag of equipment so if I want to stream a movie for grand-daughter I have to connect the MBA to the old dumb TV with HDMI and I’m pretty sure I can pause the streaming with the watch remote. Volume up down with the crown if I remember right.

I have an Apple TV and I can use the Remote app on the Watch for that.

Oh ok, I’ve never had that work on mine, but I might just have to take time to actually set it up.

Takes 5 minutes - I just set it up again after wiping the watch for testing something else.
