Apple music playing playing from middle of song

Hello,

I'm on iPhine 14 ( ios 17.0.2 ). I'm facing a weird problem with my apple music. I usually use airplay to my homepods mini ( stereo setup).

The issue I'm facing is, after playing some 2-3 songs, the next song will start from like 20 seconds in and will play for some 10 seconds, then the song will stop and start playing from the beginning. The next few songs will go fine and then this is repeated.

I did a complete factory rest of my iPhone and homepods mini, but still the same issue.

I disabled sound check in apple musc and home, same issue still.

is anyone else facing the same issue?

This happens with Apple music only, Youtube music works fine.

Hi there,

I have exactly the same issue happening with my HomePod. I have raised a support query here: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/255174273

I have found that this is not an iOS (iPhone) related issue, as it happens even if I call up a playlist or album using my voice directly from the HomePod without getting my phone music app involved.

My HomePods are on the latest version (17.0), and the problem started happening from the day they automatically updated to OS 17.

It looks like your iPhone needs updating to iOS 17.0.3. Do you have a recent backup for the data in your iPhone in iCloud or your computer? If not, we recommend that you create one as described here: How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support

Then update your iOS as outlined here to see if that resolves the issue: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
