I have a iPhone 14 pro running iOS 17.0.2 and ATT unlimited and cannot use my personal hotspot to play Amazon movies. The movies play on the phone but do not play on the Visio tv. I am not around any gateways and am running 2 bars of cellular data. How can I get the hotspot to work with the tv?

I get it. You're just trying to play a movie from Amazon, directly on your TV (using the Amazon Prime app?) using the Hotspot of your iPhone. You'll need to contact your carrier to see if they will let you do that with your Hotspot.
Are you trying to use your phone as a hotspot AND AirPlay the content? I don't think it can handle both tasks. I haven't found any official documentation for it, but I've tried what you're doing and also haven't had success. You'd need another device to "cast" the content, or connect your phone to the TV through an HDMI adapter.

Does it work with Wifi? Is your TV Airplay 2 enabled? Your carrier, by the way, controls what you can or can't do with your hotspot.
Were you ever able to use your tv with your hotspot? Sometimes that's not possible because of carrier restrictions or slowed down speed during high traffic periods
It will play tube shot videos and loads the Amazon home page. Just will it play the videos. The tv doesn’t have mirror or airplay.
The tv works on WiFi with a router but not in the woods where all all I have is cellular with personal hotspot
No I am not using AirPlay. Only hotspot.
Then what do you mean by "load movies to a Vizio TV"? I guess I misunderstood and assumed you were using AirPlay.
