Was flying Alaska and although everything played fine on a previous flight, only the film trailer would play…not any movies. I’d seen similar issues were suggested in the past, but can’t understand why this occurred as I didn’t change any settings or upgrade iOS from when it worked before. Please help as I have another flight of +5 hours pending! Running 16.6.1 on iPad (7th generation). Thanks!

It may be worthwhile to reset the network settings on the iPad, as outlined here: If your iPhone or iPad won't connect to a Wi-Fi network - Apple Support

I doubt the issue was with your iPad. It's much more likely to be an issue with the plane's wifi.
If you have issues again, try connecting to the wifi with your phone to see if that works as expected.

Thank you, Lyssa. I tried my iPhone and the movies did play, and other passengers had no issues either. That leads me to believe it was indeed related to my iPad or iOS.
Might there be a reset or reinstall I might try?
