Given me old MacBook Pro 13' Model instead of New Model

Back in April, 2019; I was totally new to Apple Product and brought MacBook Pro 13' on 23rd April, 2019 from Apple Store at Bangkok which I assumed that they gave me the latest model (latest model supposed to be 2018 model then).

Today, I was trying to upgrade my MacOS of MacBook Pro to MacOS 14 Sonoma which is already made public but surprisingly there was no software update available in my laptop. After few research, I have learned that it will support Model 2018 and later, however I was still confident since I brought my laptop in April 2019 only.

All of surprise, I was given the MacBook Pro 13' of 2017 Model instead of 2018 Model which is very sad to know.

Did Apple Store and their people scam me? I am really upset.

What should I do now? Definitely I want to reach this message to Apple.

Someone help me plz.

You were supplied the correct model year.

Just because you buy in a given year doesn't mean the new models are made in only that year. It takes time to get the new models into the supply chain.

There is nothing to do ... you have the correct model year.
