Apple Watch battery

I would love to move away from Fitbit to apple but if anAppkecwatch does not last even a full 24-48 hours how is it possible to follow a day’s activity and then pretend to provide sleep info? If only Apple had one with a realistic battery life I would bu purchasing it.

Official duration for the Apple Watch is 18 hours. And for the Ultra it is more like 36 hours

Apple Watch - Battery - Apple

The more recent Apple Watches have "Fast Charging" so you can put your Apple Watch on the charger while you are getting ready for bed, and then put it on the charger in the morning while you are getting ready for the day.

Assuming you are not supper quick getting ready for bed and your day, you should be able to charge you Apple Watch enough to get through the day.

You can also put your Apple Watch into Low Power mode, which reduces battery usage more.

I do not do sleep monitoring, and I put my Apple Watch on the charger while I sleep. It is now 5 years old, and still lasts me all day between bedtimes. My battery health is 90% (it charges to 90% of when it was new). I've very rarely gotten into a situation where I've reached very low battery power, and when I realize that is happening, I put my Apple Watch into low power mode if I cannot get to a charger.

But if the Apple Watch is not for you, then one of the other smart watches may be your best option.

NOTE: If you always have your iPhone with you, then you can get away with buying a less expensive GPS Only model as your first Apple Watch to see if it is something you want to continue using. Still not cheap, but about $100 less than a cellular model. I've had a GPS only model for 5 years and I've never missed having cellular on the Apple Watch.
