Since I updated my iphone to 17 I am now getting none stop spam text. I have the filter on to stop that and I had not had that issue prior to updating the phone so what did apple do or not do? It sounds like our numbers have been sold that suddenly we are able to get these spam text like this.

Tools for filtering spam text messages are futile, as the spammers routinely alter their sending telephone numbers.
There is no good solution for this spam currently available.
Various people will choose to mute unrecognized senders; silence unknown callers / senders.
