In iOS 17 when I try to use text replacement shortcuts with the Gboard keyboard it doesn't always work. I then have to go in to text replacement in iOS settings. It then works for a bit and stops again. This started happening after iOS 17 update.

Do your Part: This is a well known issue, and Apple is working on it, assuredly. So, report this to Apple, letting them know how you have troubleshot this thus far - both successfully and unsuccessfully.
II. Report this as a Bug to Apple:
Eey! Yess after the update to IOS 17 text replacement doesn't work anymore with the Gboarf keyboard on my iP 12 mini. Text replacement do works with the standard iPhone keyboard.
Anybody knows how to fix this? Maybe Google must do some update with the Gboard application. Gr. Chefo

Yes, it is up to the people who make that app to make sure it works right when iOS is updated.

The population of numbers from verification texts also do not work with Gboard since IOS17
