ESim/cellular not working on iPhone 13

My cellular is not working. When i go on Cellular on Settings it says primary, my phone number and when I go in that it says “Turn on This Line” or Delete Esim. Those are the only options. My Esim is connected to my secondary IMEI if that matters and the Primary IMEI is not in use. It actually fixed for a few days but because of the upgrade to ios 17 my phone restarted and it went back to how it was. Ive talked to my carrier, they said everything is fine on their end. I restarted my iPhone and Network Settings too and its still not working. I cant recieve calls or messgages. please helpp

SAME HERE. same exact thing, through Verizon, and everything. i’ve already spoken to Verizon 5 different times in the last 48 hours. & they’ve already had me go through all of the troubleshooting steps possible. but it hasn’t fixed the problem. some of my apps work, but others won’t. Like certain games are fine, but none of my social media apps currently work (ie: Facebook, YouTube, etc). my internet browser works fine, I can even go to Facebook or YouTube on my browser, and it’ll work fine on there. I can make calls and send messages. but it won’t let me access or use my home WiFi. im honestly getting super frustrated with it.

this just happend to me within the last 48 hours, it came out of nowhere, and we can’t seem to fix it at all. did you ever resolve the issues you were having? & if so, how? they’re trying to say i need a new phone because they’ve “never heard of this happening before” and coming here only further proves that’s bs.

do you have a vpn? or an app that uses a vpn? you can check this by going under settings. it should appear under the same list as airplane mode, cellular, etc. that’s what was causing me to have similar problems. apparently, vpns and esims are notorious for doing causing each other to malfunction (even if they worked properly together at one time). if so, you need to delete the app using the vpn all together. & do a restart.

Hey sarahaa213,

We're grateful that you posted here so we can help you figure this out.

For the issue, you may want to try resetting your network settings. This will reset the cellular network settings on your device and may prove helpful.

Here's how to do that:

Reset your network settings

If you're using iOS or iPadOS 15 or later, tap Settings > General > Transfer or Reset [Device] > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
If you're using iOS or iPadOS 14 or earlier, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

This also resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings that you've used before.

That info can be found here as well: If your iPhone or iPad won't connect to a Wi-Fi network - Apple Support

We hope this does the trick!

Have a great day.
