before the last update when a friend shared their location I could click on the map and their location shared live as they moved on a vivid *true to life color map. Now as they move the map is green and gray and hard to read. Their movement is also not smooth now it jerks as they move. Is there a fix for this issue

I’ve done all of those things and have the same exact issues but also, the map doesn’t update for hours. My husband was already home from work and his location was showing him close to work 7 hours earlier. I already did all the things you mentioned and more. It started happening as soon as I upgraded to iOS 17. There are Reddit users looking for solutions to this same issue. I’m sure Apple is well aware of the glitch and probably aware the suggestions above won’t fix it. I just want to know…is this how it was designed or is it an error?
