Does updating my iphone11 to IOS16/17 cause any slowness on my device ?

my iPhone 8 Plus got really, really slow after updating to iOS 16.7.7 now I need to replace it cause is useless. Apple's intentionally pulling this move to make folks buy their latest iPhone version

I turned off security response ls and system files! It seems to be ok now
