Air Tag not detected

When my airtag is near my phone, it doesn’t even recognize it or prompt me to connect with it but it’s detected on my sister’s phone. I’ve tried everything: checked my location settings, restarted my phone, disconnected the battery of the airtag, reset the airtag but replacing the battery 5 times, etc. but still nothing. I even tried to go to find my and searching for air tags but my phone just can’t see it. I have the ios 17.0.1. Can someone please advise?

Thank you for posting to Apple Support Communities.

AirTags are set up for a single Apple ID only, unless shared. From what you're describing, it sounds like your sister's Apple ID is linked to the AirTag.

Add an AirTag in Find My on iPhone - Apple Support
