Cannot Send Mail: The sender address was invalid

I bought the latest brand new iPad Pro and restored the backup. All email settings are the same as on the previous iPad. However I constantly get an error when trying to send mail: Cannot Send Mail The sender address was invalid.

I checked iPhone settings and set this account up EXACTLY the same as on the iPhone. Cannot Send Mail The sender address was invalid.

I deleted the account and set it up again fresh. Cannot Send Mail The sender address was invalid.

I searched for help online and followed instructions. Cannot Send Mail The sender address was invalid.

For a brand new iPad Pro, this is a disappointing experience and huge time waster. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Noname2324,

Thank you for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. You've done an excellent job with the troubleshooting steps that were performed. Are you noticing this with iCloud or a third party email provider? If it's a third party email provider, we suggest to contact them to see if there's a possible service outage or there's additional restrictions set in place to verify your email account in order to use it on your new iPad. That information is outlined in the section that says, "Contact your email provider or system administrator" in this article: If you can’t send email on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

If it's iCloud, then you'll want to contact Apple Support, as they can review this further. Here's the link to contact them: Get Support

Best regards.
