I am unable to login due to change of MacBook Air keyboard input

I have a MacBook Air M1 and for the first time, I’m unable to login. After typing in the correct password under my login image, it then asks me for a ‘Name’ and ‘Password’?

After a little investigating, it appears that my keyboard input has changed (which is really strange as I’ve never altered these settings)! So whenever I type my ‘correct’ password, the wrong letters and numbers are being entered.

In the top right of my login screen it shows that the British Keyboard is active though, which is what I’ve always had it set as?

Any help would be such appreciated, thank you.
