Contact Posters New With iOS 17

I just updated to iOS 17 on my iPhone, and I’m so disappointed to find that there is no way to keep my phone from displaying contact posters from people calling me. I don’t need bright, often inappropriate pictures displaying on my iPhone when I’m in meetings. It’s distracting. I want a way to turn it off. It’s the type of thing that for the first time has made me consider looking at Android. The sad thing is, I just ordered an iPhone 15 Pro Max. This is not what I expect from Apple.

Absolutely horrible, and not for those of us who work for a living and need to see our contacts information made readily available to us. I have thousands of contacts. I am not setting up 'posters' for all of them, nor do I have any desire to. I am not a child and do not use Apple's memoji's, either. The negative blowback will surely have to result in an option to disable this catastrophic and counter-intuitive addition to iOS. Apple just can't leave it alone can they... white letters on a blurry grey background for every single business contact I have when they call me—awesome.

Do better, Apple.
