iOS17 - Rearange pages in PDF is broken

Open a PDF in files app, rearrange pages by dragging thumbnails around, hit done and reopen, the pages are duplicated and not rearranged.

Very serious bug in latest iOS There is a very serious bug in the pdf app of the latest iOS. It’s very simple to reproduce: 1-on files, click “scan a document” 2-scan page 1 3-scan page 2 4-click save 5-open the pdf and go ahead dragging page 2 up so it becomes page 1 6-the pdf appears fine at the moment, page 2 is now page 1 and page 1 is now page 2. 7-click “ok” and reopen the document 8-now page 1 is completely gone and both pages are a copy of page 2. You just destroyed page 1! I’ve lost important data due to this bug. I went ahead reproducing it multiple times afterwards and it causes the same result every single time.

PDF closes when I try to scroll back up the document with mouse wheel on iPad. When I’m viewing a PDF, I’m able to scroll down the document with the mouse wheel, but I can’t scroll back up towards the start of the document. If I try to scroll back up, it just closes the entire document. I’m able to use my finger to scroll up and down the document. If I’m at the top of the document and I swipe my finger down again, it’ll close the file. So it seems the iPad is registering any attempt to scroll up the document with the mouse wheel, as if it were already at the top and just closes the file. This happens for sure when the PDF is opened through the Files app or when viewing an attachment in the Mail app. I just noticed it also happens in Microsoft Teams when I opened a PDF sent in a chat. It doesn’t matter the length of the PDF either, it could be two page and it still happens. It’s really annoying when I accidentally scroll up and the entire document closes and I have to reopen it and find where I was. It also makes it hard to navigate when using my iPad with an external monitor.

Still disappearing markups on pdf documents Hi, I annotated a pdf document on my iPad Pro 2018 with the latest iPadOS 16.3. Then I opened the file again and I realized that ~75% of the annotations were gone. After I repeated the process and opened the document again, approx. 50% of the annotations disappeared. Then I closed the document after each annotation and it looked good. What is the problem with this markup tool? I regularily get this issue and it‘s not reliable at all? Furthermore it seems to be an issue since at least 2020?!? It‘s a pain that such an issue persist for years in very expensive prime products. Apple, please read all these posts and get this message to the development department. Don‘t ask every user reporting issues to help finding the reason for it and then don‘t fix it. I‘m very frustrated paying so much money for your products and having so much pain with it. From a user perspective all of the big companies are failing by continuously trying to get the customer more an more into their own system and on the other side don‘t deliver the features the users are asking for.
