Turning off Content & Privacy Restrictions fixed it for me, and all my tabs were there. I followed this video: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=_0oSrz4wTSc

The link to the support page you've suggested does not solve the issue. After tapping the Tabs button, a "Private" Tabs Group button doesn't even show on the screen, no matter which direction I swipe, there is NOT a "Private" Tabs Group button. Nor does the option for a "Private" Tabs group show up under long pressing the Tabs button ini the resulting menu. There is no option for Private browsing at all.

Hi there mikai65,

Private Browsing is a bit different in iOS 17. You'll want to follow the steps in this link to use it: Turn Private Browsing on or off on your iPhone - Apple Support

Also, it's expected for Safari not to remember your browsing history after you close Safari and you're using Private Browsing. When you update, all your apps are closed and your iPhone restarts during that process.

Take care.
