There are two phone numbers associated with my icloud account under personal information. I want to remove the phone number so I can set up a different account with this phone number

On your iPhone, go to Settings > account name > Password & Security, then tap Edit next to the Trusted Phone Numbers label. Tap the red remove button to the number’s list and then confirm the removal. If you cannot follow those steps, let us know what happens when you try and we'll go from there.
