Sharing airtag

My Husband and I both have iPhones with iOS 17. He is trying to share his AirTag and it keeps saying “Sharing Failed- AirTag couldn’t be shared due to an unexpected error. Please remove person and try again”. We have tried several times and still nothing.

I did try removing the AirTags and re adding them but no luck.

"this airtag couldn't be shared due to an unexpected error. Please remove this person and try sharing this AirTag again." I run an iPhone 14 Pro max while she has the iPhone 13 Pro. All location settings are turned on and we are both within the same family sharing group.

airtag sharing after numerous attempts to share my air tag with 2nd phone I'm getting the same error. Her phone gets the request, we accept, it shows up but then there is the "no location found". I've tried to reset the airtag by removing the battery, same issue. I then completely removed the airtag from my phone and added to 2nd phone, then tried to share with my phone....and the same error now showed up on my phone "no location found" , though I does show the airtag and it's name.

AirTag sharing failed Tried to share AirTag with my wife with the new IOS 17 operating system. Keeps saying she is not eligible. We are on the same account and both phones are updated. Any ideas?

Same here. I’ve rebooted both devices, removed and re shared, tried sharing to her Apple ID and her phone number but keep getting the “unexpected error” message.
