Notification sound changed

My sounds for my apps had different sounds now its dang radar sound I can not get the sound to change I never had this before the update.

Yep. This one needs fix ASAP. Notification tone settings are not applied (and there are no such setting for 3rd party apps) and ugly quiet radar beep is superseding “old” settings (Note) for app notifications. iMessage/email although works fine.

In the previous software versions I was able to use classic sounds available in ringtone as notification sounds for other applications such as Calendar. I want to use the sound Presto for my calendars sound notification. This option is not available anymore. Using iOS 17.4.1 is there a fix?

To change the sound just for the Messages app, go to Settings > Notifications > Messages, then tap Sounds.

Else: To change the tone for both the Messages app and other apps that have notifications on, such as Mail, Phone, and other Apple or third-party apps.

You can choose choose between a tone or sound for alerts, etc

Go to Settings  > Sounds & Haptics.

Choose a tone or sound:

I do not have a default alerts

Instagram isn't owned by Apple and I don't believe Instagram EVER let users decide what tone you get when you get a message. Yes, the tone is different, but that's what Instagram has decided to make it sound like. If you don't like it, you need to contact them as again, Apple doesn't own them, nor can Apple change the tone they have chosen.

Wrong. Apple changes the notifications tone. You download IG to your iPhone, which is made by Apple. Apple updates the software on their phone. Apple changes the default tones for fixed and downloaded apps.

Since updating to the new software, iOS 17 notifications sound has changed from Try tone to just a beep. It’s really annoying for me since I work for Deliveroo and I rely on the old sound so I know when I get an order I can’t hear the new one. How can we put it back to normal? There must be a way to change the notification sounds on certain apps or on settings. even when I get Apple Pay notifications, it’s the same sound beep. How can I change this back to the original?

I also did not have Default. I guess the fix came in new update 17.2.1. This one has “default alerts”

I confirm that this is true in new update.

Settings-> Sounds & Haptics-> Default Alerts.

I was able to change it back to the old Notification sound.
