Since upgrading to IOS 17 on my 13 pro max, the WhatsApp sound notifications do not work. Any ideas..?

My WhatsApp screen went dark. I had to keep tapping the screen to “wake” it up. It took five minutes, but scared me because I thought the phone was dead.
