iPhone video downloads keep pausing/stopping since updat

I have no issue with my internet (checked/tested it) but video downloads to my iPhone 13 keep stopping / pausing since the update. It is several apps (Prime, Netflix, YouTube) so the apps aren’t the issue - and I even deleted all the apps, restarted my phone, and downloaded the apps again. This didn’t fix the issue. And, as mentioned above, my internet connection is good. Any

recommendations…I am very frustrated with this?

Does this only occur when downloading videos or does similar behavior occur when streaming video? If it only occurs when downloading, we recommend checking your available iPhone storage to see if that has anything to do with what you're experiencing: How to check the storage on your iPhone and iPad - Apple Support

It happens with downloaded videos only. I should have mentioned that one of the first things I did was check the storage. There is no storage issue - I use only 27 of 125 GBs at any given time. Also, I clear my history and cache at least every couple of days. Again, storage is not the issue. Could it be a compatibility issue? The videos are generally a few years old. I tried a recent video today and it worked fine.

Hey Machma050,


You have been very thorough in the steps you have tried so far. It sounds like you have isolated the issue to older videos since newer videos do not have this issue.


If you record a new video on your device, does it playback and pause?

How long does it take for the other videos to pause?

Which iOS version is the device using?
