Merging playlists/renaming playlists/removing duplicates

I have several Playlists that have been duplicated in Music. Some of the songs are the same, but not all of them.

I did, for the sake of not knowing what to do, make an additional playlist that I was moving all the songs into so that I could weed out the duplicates. However, I don't see how to remove the old playlists lists and then rename the playlist title I made.

Details: 80's Mix, 80's Mix. I copied all songs to the new 80's 1 Playlist. Now I want to remove both 80's Mix titles from the Playlist list. Then, I want to change the name of the 80's 1 Playlist to 80's Mix. There was probably an easier way, but I don't know for sure.

Please advise and thank you.

Tarik,

To remove a playlist: Right-click it in the sidebar and choose "Delete from Library." This removes the playlist but does not affect the songs in the playlist.

To rename a playlist: Open it up and click on the name to highlight and make changes. (This confuses some folks since in old versions of iTunes you could edit the playlist name in the sidebar, which is no longer possible.) See below.
