how do I make Pages my default

ADOE has taken over and now must pay to use. I want to use pages that is on computer on all my devices. then I need to input on forms I get. It doesn't even give me a choice of using it and don't know how to get in to drop dox of programs that can be use

If your reference to form input is in PDF forms, then you don't want Pages as it cannot read PDFs. Consider Apple's Preview application or the free Adobe Acrobat Reader DC product. The latter is better at forms than Preview.


If we are talking PDFs here, then right-click on any PDF and choose Get Info. On that Finder Get Info panel, there will be a section named Open With. Click the selector and choose either Apple's Preview, or Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. Then click through the Change All… button to make either of these applications your default PDF opening tool.
