iPhone and Ipad show up as same device in Find My Phone

My son's iPhone and Ipad as showing up as one device (iPad) in Find My Phone. And they are not showing separate locations. For example, he was out with his phone, but both devices showed being at the same location. How do I get them to show individually?

Hello Chicochic,

Are they named as the same device? You can check in Settings > General > About > Name. If they are named the same, then we'd recommend giving them different names so you can differentiate the devices.

If your son left with his iPhone and it wasn't tracking the location with the cellular network, then we would verify the iPhone's settings using these steps: Set up Find My on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac

Let us know if this helps out or not.

Take care.
