i bought my iphone 3 months ago and my battery health has dropped from 100% to 94%. Is it normal?

That does seem a little high, however it would depend where you bough the phone. The iPhone 12 came out in 2020, if it has been sitting on the self for a year or so, this could explain why it's dropped to 94%.


Batteries degrade over time with usage due to chemical aging, that's just how they work.

You can expect about a 1% drop per month with average use on an iPhone. This is an approximation, that is why it may be plus or minus a few percent on a month to month basis.

Apple recommends replacing it when it reaches 80%.
