Airpods Pro(2nd Gen) and Airpods(3rd Gen) getting disconnected from Facetime

So I have a MacBook pro(2022) model , airpods pro(2nd Gen) and airpods(3rd gen). Whenever I am on a facetime call, the airpods gets connected to it easily. But as soon as I disconnect my facetime, my airpods alos gets disconnected and the video starts playing on speakers.

Is this a software bug that can be resolved or is there some settings that I need to change ?
