Air pods pro gen 2 disconnects with Facetime Screen Share.

Hello,

I recently bought Airpods pro 2nd gen. (well, this is a genuine one). I'm using the iPhone 8+, and whenever I share my screen using Facetime Screen share. The audio connection changes to the Speakers, and the AirPods pro option is gone. (I can't select because I don't see the option.)

Before I bought AirPods pro gen 02, I had the gen 01, and I did not have this problem.

On the other hand, when I connect my AirPods pro gen 02 with iPhone 14, I don't have this screen share issue. It's working fine.

So what is the problem with air pods pro gen 02 with iPhone 8+ Face time screen share?

If you know a solution for this, please update me.

Thank you for this info. If both the iPhone 14 and 8+ are on iOS 16.2 and you have reset the AirPods Pro without success, we would suggest you next contact Apple Support directly for more specific assistance with your AirPods issues.

Hey Sheree_P,

Thank you for the answer. Both iPhone 14 and 8+ are updated to the latest version. I tried resetting AirPods pro gen 2 two times. But the issue is still the same.

Is the iPhone 8+ up-to-date with iOS 16.2? If not and the iPhone 14 is, update iPhone 8+. This steps ensures all security updates and fixes are installed. After updating, try sharing your screen in FaceTime. The steps below provide details on backing up and updating the iPhone. For future reference, this article provides the same steps: Update your iPhone or iPad.

1. Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.

2. Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.

3. Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.

4. If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one that you want to install.

5. Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do.

If you continue to experience the issue, reset the AirPods by following into steps in his article: How to reset your AirPods and AirPods Pro.
