Videos uploaded to iCloud downscaled to 720p
I’m iCloud user and videos 1080p/4K videos shot by my iPhone automatically sync with iCloud storage.
When I’m trying to use uploaded video to post on social media or use it on my iPad to combine videos to the movie instead of downloading and providing video in its original quality - videos are always available in lower 720p resolution.
It is very frustrating, I’m paying for iCloud storage, uploading there videos to reduce used space on my iPhone but at the end there is no difference if you are shooting in 4K or 1080p - you have normal access (by normal access I mean Photos application) only in 720p.
All applications for video editing in iPhone and IPad get videos only in 720p.
Not sure what is the reason of paying for iCloud and uploading there videos of high resolution if at the end Apple do not provides a handy way of using original files on request, but instead you’re getting reduced in size 720p version of a video.
In case of advice from Apple to go to iCloud.com and manually download videos to your iOS/iPadOS devices - are serious, why it is so complicated to get the video files in original quality and they can not be automatically downloaded on request in Photos app?
Request to find a solution when uploaded to iCloud video files of original 1080p/4K 60 fps resolution will be automatically available on request in Photos application instead of providing reduced 720p/30fps.
