Apple remote does not work on TV now

Remote was working then the middle button stopped working. I removed the remote from the Apple TV but now I cannot get the remote to reconnect our pair.

Apple remote not working except buttons the apple tv remote keeps disconnecting from the tv no matter what i try. I’ve charged it, restarted it, restarted the tv , the apple tv, tried unplugging the tv + apple tv as well. Still wont stay connected for more than a few minutes before it disconnects from the tv.
