standby mode

I love the nightstand clock/calendar in standby mode. It will not, however, remain always on. It goes dark after a few minutes. How do I make it a persistent display?

I have this same issue. Mine goes off 2 or 3 times a night. Is this a software bug? Can anyone help please?
