Why is my iPhone 14 dialing by itself other numbers in my contact list. Voice control is OFF. I have reset the phone. It still occurs when I’m on a call and sometimes puts my active call on Hold to dial another number. Like it’s trying to set up 3-way calling by itself. How do I stop this?

Have you noticed the display responding unexpectedly while using other apps as well?
If you use a screen guard or case with your device, try removing those accessories before testing the issue again.

display is not responding unexpectedly while using other apps. Yes I have a case on the phone but no screen guard. Hard thing to actually “test” because it happens randomly; but I guess I can remove my case for a while and see if it happens again or not. My case is clear and appears to fit well around buttons but I’ll try it.

Your device should dim the screen while you're on a phone call. If your case is interfering with the sensors on your iPhone, it may not do that which could result in unexpected button presses while it's against your face.

Well it did it again! I had the case OFF so it is not the case. I was on a call and the phone dialed another number while I was talking. I ended the second call before it went through and my original caller was still there when I went back. The number the phone "auto dialed" was not the last person I called and was not the first name in my contact list. Does not happen while using other Apps, only when I am on the phone on another call. Voice Control is off. IPhone14 IOS 16.6.1
