No internet connection

MacBook Pro running Big Sur 11.6. I can connect to the Wi-Fi but not to the internet.

Nighthawk router.

I was referred to HT 201375. I may not have done it properly in any of my attempts, but it did not change anything/work.

Mac Pro 2012 runninig Mountain Lion not connecting to internet I have a Mac Pro 2012 running just-installed Mountain Lion on a fresh internal SATA disk. The OS is installed and running fine. But... It will not connect to the internet via WiFI or Ethernet from my booster router., despite network diagnostics saying WiFi and then Ethernet are working fine. See attached screenshots. Internet Connection MAC OS Big sur was working fine and connected to internet. Shut it down to reboot and now will not connect to any operating WI-FI networks it previously did. Message says router has self assigned IP and will not be able to connect to internet. No settings were changed or altered when this occurred. I've gone to Youtube for solutions, looked at 3 videos to no avail. Anyone out there experience this?
