Apple Music breaks in Lossless

Lossless playback with Apple Music is a mess. First seconds of any song are _always_ crippled. Let's say he beat looks like this:

__/\__/\__/\__/\__/\__/\

When listening to Apple Music in Lossless quality on iPhone 15 Pro + AirPods Pro 2 OR any other headphones OR on HomePod i get the beat like this:

__/\__/\__/\_/\__/\__/\

OR precisely at 15 second mark there is some other kind of glitch.

Why is that? Why is Apple even having the option to listen to lossless if it can't play properly on its own hardware? The solution is simple - turn off lossless. While it can make sense when using AirPods Pro 2 (bluetooth connection doesn't allow the amount of data to be transferred), but why HomePod, which is supposed to be able to play lossless? There is a specific option to turn it on in Home Settings - so why is it there if after turning it on the music misses a beat?

Sorry, I don't understand that, is here anyone that can clarify what should the settings be to really enjoy what is so hardly marketed by Apple, but in my case unusable and frustrating?

iPhone 14 Pro, iOS 16

Hi Piotr Kowal,

Thanks for contacting Apple Support Communities!

We understand that you aren't experiencing what you'd expect while listening to Apple Music lossless with your AirPods.

Currently, lossless playback via Bluetooth isn't supported, but you can enjoy lossless playback via your iPhone as outlined here: About lossless audio in Apple Music - Apple Support

"Can I listen to lossless audio over Bluetooth?

We will deliver music using lossless audio compression to your iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV. Lossless will play back normally on Bluetooth speakers and headphones. However, Bluetooth connections don’t support lossless audio."

We hope this helps you.

Take care!

Hello Piotr Kowal,

Thanks for the additional information. Do you see this when listening to anything else, or just Apple Music? Is your phone updated? If not, this can help, and can sometimes help with built-in application issues you may see: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Update your iPhone or iPad wirelessly
1. Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.
2. Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.
3. Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.
4. If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one that you want to install.
5. Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do.

Regards.
