Scrolling While Dragging Issue

Scrolling while dragging no longer works for me. In Finder and Mail for example, when I click and hold to drag an object (using the trackpad) I used to be able to scroll (with two fingers) while dragging the object, which I would do in order to move it to a different folder. However, now when I try to scroll when dragging a file, nothing happens. Sometimes it will scroll for a second, but then it stops and is stuck.

Any ideas on how to fix this? It's quite annoying...

Not a solution, but I did find a workaround: If you're using a Magic Trackpad in addition to your laptop, you can click and drag (with one finger) on your Magic Trackpad, while seamlessly scrolling with two fingers on your laptop's trackpad.

I still wish this would work with just one hand, though, the way it used to.

It still works here. It's easier with two hands on the same trackpad, but it can be done with just one.

The way I do it is I start dragging with my right hand and use two fingers of my left hand to scroll.

Huh, that's interesting. For me, this no longer works after switching from macOS Catalina to Ventura, whether with one or with two hands. I used to click and drag with my index finger and scroll with my middle and ringer fingers.
