My son's abroad on holiday with his Dad, his iphone (7) suddenly started displaying the iphone unavailable screen despite the correct pass code being used. I am in the UK and have arranged a factory reset but this can't happen until he connects to a wifi the phone knows. I am just wondering if there is anything more I can do to try and help. Thanks to anyone who might be able to offer some advice :)

Does the device have iOS 15.2 or later installed? If so, it can be reset without a computer. To learn how, please see this: If you see an iPhone or iPad unavailable message or Security Lockout screen - Apple Support.
If it doesn’t have iOS 15.2 or later installed, then you will need a computer to reset the device. See the following Support Article for instructions: If you forgot your iPhone passcode - Apple Support.
