My iPhone 12 mini with SIM and eSIM is asking for each call to be moved to the new eSIM ('Your existing line is not available, do you want to use your remaining line?).
I want to transfer the entire contact list to the new eSIM rather than doing it with each phone call. Is that possible?
This problem began when ATT updated my phone to an eSIM. My old SIM was dropping calls.
iPhone SE, iOS 13
iPhones do not store any contacts or other data on the SIM.
(whether eSIM or nanoSIM)
What your phone is asking is if you want each contact’s default “line” to be dialed using your new SIM. (the obvious answer is “yes”)

I’ve got 2x eSIMs and can’t figure out a way to perform the entirely reasonable “bulk change” you’re trying to perform.
I recall that I was prompted for this when first provisioning the eSIM, but I can’t find a way to “force” this same function again. 🤷🏼
Hopefully somebody else here might know.
You might be able to delete the eSIM entirely and re-provision, but this seems a pretty extreme step for what should be a relatively simple problem … and I don’t even know if it would work. 🤔
EDIT to add: Have you removed the old SIM from your phone ???
If you need to do this, simply remove the physical SIM, then tap on the eSIM and a message will appear asking if you want to "Update Contacts" say yes and i moves everyone over to the other SIM. Then reinsert the physical SIM.
I understand but the phone is using a default pathway to the old defunct SIM. The pathway must be changeable. It's letting me change each one individually.
