Difference between Battery Cycles to Maximum Battery Capacity

I've been using the Macbook pro m1 max since a year. As per today, the battery cycle count is only 166 out of 1000. And the maximum battery capacity is 89%, which is so unrelated to the number of cycles.

I'm worried that I need to replace the battery sooner as it will touch the 80%. I don't understand why the maximum capacity dropped to 89% though the cycles didn't even touched 200 mark.

I'm a person who plugs in most of the time and rarely uses on battery(once or twice a week). Yesterday, I bought "Aldente" to manage my battery as the "Optimized Battery Charging" isn't working as expected.

I can not account for nor advocate for third party Aldente

Your built in BHM (Battery Health Management) software is not necessarily a linear progression. It is dynamic...

and learns as it goes. ref:About battery health management in Mac notebooks - Apple Support

here is an example of Battery maximum capacity % increasing over time:

notice ~1 yr the Battery health has increased over time see col.2, battery cycle count col.5

The rule of thumb—if you are near the mains leave it plugged in, if you need the portability then run on the battery only—this is how you optimize your battery charging and extend the working life of your battery by reducing the cycle count.
