Lost photos during Iphone transfer
I got a new iPhone at the beginning of July. I purchased it at the Apple Store and the worker was assisting me with the data transfer from my iPhone XR to my new iPhone 14. Because my phone did not have enough storage to backup, he added me to my parents' iCloud storage and then proceeded to backup my iPhone. It failed the first time, but seemed to work the second. We then proceeded with the data transfer and all seemed well. I was turning my old phone in for money so he then cleared the data on there. I realized soon after that all of my pictures going back until March of this year were missing, but since the Apple worker had been messing around with my iCloud, I figured they were stored there. I checked recently only to discover that all of the pictures until then were not in my iCloud either. This means all of the pictures from my high school graduation, senior prom, college decision day, 18th birthday, and much more are seemingly gone.
In my settings, I can see there was a backup on my old phone the day I got my new phone, so shouldn't the pictures be here? I've talked to people at 2 different Apple Stores to no avail. No, I did not have these pictures stored anywhere else because my Google Photos ran out of storage. Please let me know if you need more details or have any ideas.
