Automatic switching option Not visible AirPods pro 2

Hi today I bought new AirPods Pro 2 and I connected them with my iPhone 12 mini. Everything was fine until I wanted to connect them to my iPad Air. They wanted me to forget the AirPods in order to connect them . And I need to do it all over again to reconnect the AirPods to iPhone or iPad . I also don’t have the automatic switching option visible in my settings , it’s simply not there where everybody has it. Please help me

Hi there Mio009,

We have some help to get your AirPods Pro working properly to switch between your iPhone 12 mini and iPad Air. We'd recommend starting with the guidance here: Switch your AirPods to another device

To switch between devices automatically1 with your AirPods (2nd or 3rd generation), AirPods Pro (1st or 2nd generation), or AirPods Max:
- Make sure that you have an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with the latest version of iOS or iPadOS, or a Mac with the latest version of macOS
- Sign in with the same Apple ID using two-factor authentication

If you're signed in with the same Apple ID on your devices, your AirPods will switch automatically from listening to music on your iPad to answering a phone call on your iPhone, for example.

In some situations with macOS Big Sur or later, you'll see a notification about your AirPods on the screen of your Mac. Click Connect to confirm that you want your AirPods to switch to your Mac or stay with your Mac.

If you have questions working through those steps, reply back here.

Best regards.
