Persons (Photos) not available on iPhone lock screen

I’m trying to create a new Lock Screen using the “random photos”. This normally allows to select one or multiple people to display photos from.

Unfortunately, it only proposes me one single person to select.

I have 4 persons tagged, so photos associated to contacts, in the photos app. Why is it not possible to select them?

iPhone 13, iOS 16

Hi tnjms,

Thanks for contacting Apple Support Communities!

We understand that you need some help to customize photos on your Lock Screen, correct?

Are you able to choose photos manually? This resource will show you how to customize your Lock Screen with photos: Change the wallpaper on your iPhone - Apple Support

"Rotate multiple photos as your Lock Screen wallpaper

  1. In the Settings app, tap Wallpaper.
  2. Tap Add New Wallpaper.
  3. Select Photo Shuffle from the top row of options.
  4. On the Photo Shuffle screen, set a frequency (On Tap, On Lock, Hourly, or Daily). Then choose a set of photos that will shuffle as you use your iPhone throughout the day.

The frequency options for Photo Shuffle when you set up multiple photos to rotate as your Lock Screen on iPhone.

5. Tap Done."

If you're still unable to manually select your photos, feel free to reach out to Apple directly to investigate this further with you. You can reach them here: Contact Apple Support

Take care!
