Never been repaired. Unable to determine if your iPhone battery is genuine apple part.

My phone's battery suddenly went to almost nothing. The alert said that it was unable to determine if the battery was a genuine apple part. I've never had it repaired. The maximum capacity is not showing anything. Very confused.

A message about a non-genuine part is discussed in this support document: iPhone parts and service history - Apple Support

An Unknown Part message appears if the part installation is incomplete or if the part:

- Was replaced with a nongenuine part (e.g., you had it repaired with a third party service that did not use an Apple component)

- Was already used or installed in another iPhone

- Isn't functioning as expected

If the reason isn't immediately apparent, go to this page to find your nearest Apple Authorized Service Provider (AASP) or Apple Authorized Distributor (AAD) --> Find Locations

How to make a Genius Bar appointment

1. Go to Genius Bar Reservation and Apple Support Options - Apple

2. Go to "Get hardware help".

3. Select your hardware and continue selecting options requiring replacing parts until you see "Bring in for Repair"

4. Sign in with your Apple ID

Just go to settings and disable wifi and Bluetooth and then turn on airplane mode then go to date and time and set it back a month then reset your phone when it comes on enable wifi and Bluetooth and disable airplane mode then turn date and time back to automatic and you shouldn’t get that message anymore

sometimes if you disable battery optimization that will stop the alert too

but def don’t go pay apple 200 bucks at Genius Bar or wherever they are just trying to force people to only get repairs done by them making them even more money
