Can not sen mail i Mail mail Version 16.0 3731.700.6 - MacBook Air M2 15 inch

Mail can not send mail from any of the accounts - Google, Exchange.

I have deleted and added my google and exchange accounts multiple times with no success.

The Mail program tells the google accounts is connected both on IMAP and SMTP and the Exchange account is also connected. But no mails are sent.

I write a mail, choose the correct "from" with the correct SMTP-account. Press send, hear the "swoop" sound. But the mail does not end up in the Sent box. No mail ireceived.

Other IMAP/SMTP accounts do work either though I use exaktly the same account details as at an old MacBook Pro (2009) where mail sending work.


Receiving mail works when sent from other computers.


I installed Thunderbird and Outlook and sending mails work fine with the same account.


Any ideas?

I have found the problem.

In the Settings/Write it is possible to set at "Delay to withdraw" (or similar, I have Swedish settings) to OFF, 10 sek, etc.

Whith "Off" sending mail from all accounts works.

With delay of 10 seks och more no mail is sent.


The delay setting does not even work with iCoud mail.


Is it a bug in the Mail app or just a problem with communication with the mail provider? Do not know.
