Shortcuts Menu return to menu after some time

I've created a menu and I placed the run command after each item on the list to return back to the menu. This partially works.

For example, when I select an item on the list, the menu list returns and sits on top of the screen. I have to tap somewhere on the home screen so it closes.

I would like to tap on a menu item, view the menu or make changes for a period of time and return to the list without running the shortcut each time. Would I be able to do something like that?

I've searched for a possible solution but have not found it. I hope someone in the forums would have some idea.
