Is there a way to keep app menu open on-top after clicking?

This is useful for situations like changing multiple configurations from the same menu.

For example, in Photoshop I sometimes enable both "Grid" and "Layer edges" from the view/show menu, but to do that, I need to open this menu twice

Is there a way to keep the open menu on top after clicking? Sort of like with Command pressed.

No. Applications are generally designed to provide the given menu once during a menu item selection and then the menu closes. This is common application menu behavior across macOS, Windows, Linux, and Unix operating systems.

The quickest way to reach some menu (including submenus) is via a keyboard shortcut. This is especially useful when you use something a lot.

Many of the most used menu items have shortcuts, which you can see right next to the menu text. Once you do it a few times it becomes a natural thing to do. I mean, do you go to the Edit menu and choose Copy? I hope not, and that you press Command-C instead.

Besides all that, macOS lets you add YOUR OWN keyboard shortcuts, In System Preferences->Keyboard->Shortcuts, and they will show up immediately next to the menu items, and work just like the ones built-in to the applications.
