Compressor not responding in FCPx, On a new Mac mini M2

Delete Compressor preferences.

Hold down command and option keys while starting Compressor, and click the Delete Preferences button.

Also, if you can get to the Settings, go to Advanced. Click the Reset Queue button. Select Cancel Jobs.

Click the Reset Queue button again, select Repair Compressor.

I find it very odd that an app includes a tool to repair itself after being developed (sort of) all these years.
