Can HomePod be used with Android?

Hello.

I have a HomePod Mini and I want to leave it to my brothers because I'm going on vacation far away but they have Android.

The only one in the family who has an iPhone is me.

Could they use the HomePod without having to have an iPhone?

Basically my question is if they can listen to music, podcasts and answer me on the intercom by saying "Siri, answer intercom..." or "Siri, play music".

Thank you!

well the voice stuff to the homepod would not really require you to own a phone at all I believe so that they have android phones should have no effect

don't believe android out of the box support any type of airplay support though so I don't think they would be able to use it as a remote speaker unless some android app store app can add support
