I have multiple Contacts Lists. Any new contacts are automatically added to All Contacts and All Gmail lists, but not All iCloud. How do I add contacts from those lists to All iCloud and then delete them? I hope that all new contacts will automatically be added to All iCloud list.

Make sure iCloud is set as default account for contacts in Settings ➜ Contacts ➜ Default Account.
And make sure when creating a new contact you do so from inside the iCloud group and not when inside and another group like the All Google contacts group.

Thank you. That worked, so that a new contact goes to the iCloud group. Would you know how to add All Contacts to my iCloud. Also, I am not sure where the Gmail list came from. Should I delete it?
did anyone ever tell you how to merge existing lists? i'm having that problem too
