I hope to connect my Macbook pro (M1) to a non Apple display. I tried to use the Apple's USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter but it gets hot after a few hours. Is it safe to use it for a long time everyday?

The setting is the display - HDMI to HDMI cable - Apple's adapter - Macbook pro.

Studio Display power connection Hi, I would like to ask, if I Connect MacBook Pro 14" via Thunderbolt, Watch Magnetic Charging Dock, MagSafe Charger and Lightning Dock via USB-C directly to the Studio Display ports and Display will be plugged directly to electric wall socket the connection stay effective and safe, especially in case of thunderstorms or overloads? Before I've had connect everything to the power adapters, then into power strip which was plugged into socket what was natural for me, but I would like to provide just one cable from my desk. Can Studio Display replace power strip?

the problem with using HDMI adapter I use Belkin USB-C to HDMI + Charge Adapter connected to my Macbook pro m1 and my display monitor, and It is quite warm (I can hold it for more than one minute though) but it is warmer when I watched Netflix or Youtube. I am afraid that it will cause damage to MacBook's mainboard. Is it normal to be warm and warmer in that case? Do I need to change to Apple USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter?

I think it doesn't hurt anything, though if you worry about it, contact Apple support and ask about it.

There may be different interface that stays somewhat cooler.
