Studio Display power connection

Hi,

I would like to ask, if I Connect MacBook Pro 14" via Thunderbolt, Watch Magnetic Charging Dock, MagSafe Charger and Lightning Dock via USB-C directly to the Studio Display ports and Display will be plugged directly to electric wall socket the connection stay effective and safe, especially in case of thunderstorms or overloads? Before I've had connect everything to the power adapters, then into power strip which was plugged into socket what was natural for me, but I would like to provide just one cable from my desk. Can Studio Display replace power strip?

The Studio Display ports aren’t meant for charging, only for “for connecting peripherals, storage, and networking”. That said, there’s no issue with safety & power overloads, you can certainly give it a shot. If it doesn’t work to your satisfaction, revert, Apple won’t support.

The Studio Display will provide up to 96 watts of power to a Mac laptop, over the same Thunderbolt 3 cable that carries the video signal, and that enables use of the three downstream USB-C (USB data) ports.

I don't know if it will provide much power to that things you plug into the downstream USB-C ports. I would not count on it, because Apple's specifications don't say anything to suggest that the Studio Display supports USB Power Delivery on those ports.
